I spent five blissful days and nights in this delightful old farmhouse, which has been done up beautifully.

I loved the front verandah – it’s the perfect place to sit and soak up the magic of the surrounding countryside – especially at sunrise and sunset!

Sue is the dream host, helpful and caring and happy to share the pleasures of living on a farm. I was overwhelmed by her generosity when she offered to take photos of me on Friso, so that my friends could see where I had been holidaying. They were delighted!

It was perfect. I will be back again as soon as possible! Many, many thanks Sue and Nick, for providing such a beautiful home away from home.

Just home from a stay with Sue and Nick. I thought Friesians were cows. Got that wrong big time. Hanging with Sue and her fabulous horses (and chooks and dogs) was fantastic, even got to throw the leg over a couple (under Sue’s expert tuition). What a great experience. The whole package is wonderful. Comfortable and cosy accommodation, and those views… And it’s not just about the farm, it’s a short drive to Candelo for the markets and not much further to the beaches and restaurants at Merimbula. It’s a great base to explore the local area and then return home for a fire under the stars. The kids loved it. Will definitely be back.

Thanks for that Roger I am glad you and Helen had an enjoyable stay. It is always enjoyable hanging out with my guests and showing them how special the Friesian’s are. I must admit Friso is a legend. Looking forward to you staying again soon.
      Cheers Sue

My Husband & I stayed in the farm house at the end of July with our three girls & had an amazing time. From the roaring fire when we arrived, to the fresh farm eggs & daily coffee delivery, it is just one of those special places that you will definitely want to return to, maybe more than once. Our kids loved the opportunity to feed & ride the horses, & us grown-ups really enjoyed some great chats with Sue about her work & the beautiful animals she has on the farm. We were a little sad to leave after the week.
If you are thinking of staying here, you will have a wonderful time!

My family stayed at Sue and Nick’s farm stay in July. We have already planned our return trip. It was fantastic and was the family country get away we all needed. The cottage was lovely and spacious with plenty of firewood for toasty winter nights. The beds were very comfortable and the morning views are simply lovely (not to mention the coffee!). Lots of farm fresh eggs every morning, our kids running through the fields, playing with pups and feeding the horses along with Sue, the toasting marshmallows under the stars…it was brilliant. Our children also loved the opportunity to ride, under Sue’s excellent tuition. Thank you, Sue and Nick for all your generosity and hospitality, for sharing your passion for your absolutely magnificent horses, and for making us feel like we were staying at a friend’s farm. We can’t wait to return! Kath, Dave, and the (very happy) kids.

Thanks, Cath, Dave, and happy kids. It was great having you stay and sharing what I have learnt over the years about horses with you all. Dogs loved playing with the girls especially Daffey. The horses loved being spoilt as well. Thanks for leaving the house so clean I really appreciated it. Excited about your next stay and what adventures and experiences are in store for you. Foals maybe!!!

Thanks again Sue, Nick, and all the animals

Our stay at Sue’s place was very last-minute, after a planned camping trip fell through. Sue’s prompt response really helped us out of a jam, and we (self, husband, baby, and two dogs!) showed up at her place within half an hourof making the booking. The Farmhouse has a quirky layout, with 3 bedrooms, one of them with a king-sized bed. The bathroom is huge and includes a spa, a good shower and plenty of hot water. The kitchen is well provisioned. The property is located in a lush valley, and there’s dogs, cats, chickens, and some of the most beautiful horses you’ll see. Sue was kind enough to take me around to meet some of them. Sue was a friendly and kind host, and I would recommend her place.
